Bill Belichick’s UNC Coaching Debut: A Tough Loss with Long-Term Promise
Adrian escobedo
Last night Bill Belichick made his coaching debut against TCU. The score wasn’t pretty, and the optics don’t look good. On the surface it looks like a coaching blunder on UNC’s part but that wasn’t a bad loss. TCU has a strong foundation led by Sonny dykes. In college having a solid coach is half the battle, assistant coaches, players, and staff come and go but the head coach is the pillar of any college football team. The head coach provides the culture of the team regardless of who’s in the program, Sonny Dykes had TCU in the national championship game just a couple years ago, safe to say UNC played a strong program. I think Bill Belichick is a great coach and will have his team respond and have the Tar Heels primed for December-January football, in all fairness Coach Belichick probably thought it was preseaon still
